Uagong Privacy Policy
Uagong (the "App") does not show ads, and it does not automatically transmit your child's learning records to the developer's servers. Names, learning records, and settings are stored on the device. If a guardian contacts us through the feedback form or by email, the developer may receive the content the guardian wrote and the contact information the guardian chose to provide. System backups and Google Play payments and additional content downloads are handled by Google's services.
1. Information We Process and Information We Do Not Process
- The App does not collect phone numbers, location, photos, contacts, device identifiers, or advertising identifiers.
- The App does not have internet access permission. Internet may be used when purchasing or downloading additional learning packs or language packs (Google Play Store), and when a guardian taps Feedback, Homepage, or Email (the device's browser or email app).
- The developer does not operate a server that receives learning records. The App uses no advertising or analytics SDKs. It uses only Google Play's own libraries for purchases, app updates and language-pack delivery.
- The developer receives information only when a guardian contacts us (see Sections 6 and 7 below).
- For users in India: the DPDP Act also applies. The additional terms for India — children's consent, your rights, breach notification, and the Grievance Officer — are set out in Sections 3, 7, 9, and 10.
2. Information Stored on the Device
- The following information is stored on the user's device, and the developer cannot receive or view it:
- Learning records: number of problems solved, whether answers were correct, time taken, level, and progress (which day)
- Settings: subjects, difficulty, sound volume, the child's age (set by a parent at first setup), and the child's name (optional)
- Guardian lock PIN (if set; stored as a transformed value, not the original PIN)
- Android backup and device transfer: Depending on device settings, Android may include the App's records in the backup of the guardian's Google account or transfer them to a new device. The backup can include the child's age, the optional name, and the parent PIN in hashed form. Whether and when backup and restore occur depends on the conditions of the device and the service, and the most recent records are not guaranteed to be restored. The encryption method used for backups also varies depending on device settings (such as the screen lock) and the Android version. The developer does not access the guardian's system backups. If you turn off backup in the device settings, nothing is stored there.
- Record transfer code: When a guardian taps "Create Transfer Code" in the parent section, a shortened string of text (about 100 characters) containing learning records such as progress and level appears on the screen. It does not include names or payment information. Copying and sharing are up to the guardian, and the App does not send it on its own. If a guardian sends the code to us directly as part of an inquiry, we use it only to restore the records and delete it after replying.
- When a guardian taps "Export Backup," the records are saved as a file on the device. Where to keep the file is up to the guardian.
- If you delete the App, the records on the device are also deleted (any copies remaining in system backups are handled according to Android's rules).
3. Children's Personal Information
- The App does not ask children for personal information. At first setup a parent sets the child's age; the name is optional. Both are stored only on the device and are never sent to us. If Android Auto Backup is turned on, the records may be backed up to the parent's own Google account, depending on the device settings.
- The child's name is used only in text on the screen and is not automatically transmitted to the developer. It is not included in record transfer codes.
- India (DPDP Act, Section 9): A "child" means a person under 18 years of age. The App is used under a guardian's consent and supervision: a guardian completes the initial setup, and purchases and external contact are possible only in the parent section after guardian verification. We do not track children, undertake behavioral monitoring of children, or direct targeted advertising at children. We do not process a child's data in any way likely to cause harm. Because learning records are stored only on the device (Section 2), no child's learning data is transmitted to us.
- Please do not include personal information such as your child's name, contact details, school, or photos in your feedback. Any personal information received by mistake is deleted as soon as it is identified.
4. Payments
- Payments for additional learning packs are processed by the Google Play payment system. The developer does not receive payment information such as card numbers.
- The App checks with Google Play on the device to see which packs you own (when the App is opened, when you return to it, and when a guardian taps [Restore Purchases]). Purchase verification tokens are not stored or logged.
- The "All Packs Pass" is not sold in the App and can be obtained only with a Google Play promotional code provided by the developer.
- After payment, the Google Play Store downloads the additional learning pack files and installs them on the device.
- Language packs: when the screen language is Japanese or Hindi, Google Play downloads the App's free language pack (teacher voice and pictures) automatically, with no extra purchase or confirmation. Wi-Fi is recommended.
- Google's Privacy Policy applies to information processed in payments and Google Play features: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Purchases, restores, and downloads can be made only from the parent section, after passing guardian verification.
5. Permissions
- Vibration: Used to give a short vibration on correct and incorrect answers.
- Microphone (optional): In the initial setup, which is done by a guardian, "Follow-Along Microphone" is shown turned on, and the guardian can turn it off on the spot. If it is left on, the device asks for microphone permission, and the microphone is used only if permission is granted. After the initial setup, buttons on the home or experiment screens that turn on the microphone or open the device settings require guardian verification.
- The microphone is used only for follow-along speaking in science experiments and on the English word screen. It is not used in math, Korean language, brain puzzles, or the game room.
- When a child speaks along, the App briefly checks only the volume of the sound, on the device. When follow-along ends or the App goes to the background, the microphone is closed immediately.
- Nothing is recorded, stored, or sent outside the device.
- If you do not grant permission or turn it off, buttons are used instead. It can be turned off at any time in the parent section settings.
- The audio settings permission (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS) is used only so the App's screens can receive microphone sound (a requirement of Android's screen engine) and to return the device's sound mode to normal after the microphone is closed.
- Study reminders (optional): A guardian can turn these on and off. On a day when the child has not finished that day's adventure, the App sends one device notification at the time set by the guardian. If the App is not opened for 7 consecutive days after a notification, the reminders quietly stop, and they start again when the App is opened again. The boot completed permission (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) is used to restore scheduled notifications when the device is restarted. Notification content is created only on the device and is not sent anywhere.
- Additional pack and language-pack downloads: Background task permissions (such as foreground service and data sync) are used only while Google Play is downloading pack files. The App does not use these permissions for anything else.
- We do not request any other permissions (internet, camera, location, storage).
6. Feedback (Optional, Guardians Only)
- When a guardian, after guardian verification, taps "Feedback," a blank feedback form (Google Forms) opens in the device's browser. The App does not attach learning records or device information to the form address.
- Feedback that a guardian writes and submits directly, together with an optional email address, is used to respond to inquiries and to improve the App.
- Feedback received is used only to respond to inquiries and to fix the App, and is never sold or shared elsewhere.
- Feedback is stored in Google Forms and Google Sheets in the developer's Google account, and a copy of the new-response notification email may remain in the mailbox of the same account. Transmission is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Cross-border transfer: Because feedback is stored in Google's services, it may be kept outside your country.
- Recipient: Google LLC (privacy@google.com)
- Country of transfer: The United States and other countries where Google data centers are located
- Timing and method of transfer: When a guardian submits the feedback form or sends an email, over the network (HTTPS)
- Items transferred: The feedback written by the guardian, the selected satisfaction rating, and the email address entered by the guardian (optional).
- Purpose of use and retention period: Responding to inquiries and improving the App, for up to one year from the date received (Section 7)
- How to refuse: Simply do not use Feedback or email inquiries. Not using them places no restriction on learning.
- Inquiries are optional, and learning is fully available without using them.
7. Retention and Deletion
- Original inquiry text and copies of it (including notification emails) are deleted once the purpose of responding and making fixes has been achieved, and in all cases within up to one year from the date received.
- Please send deletion or access requests to hello@rnrplay.com. We ask only for the minimum information needed to verify the request (such as the date sent and part of the content), and we never request a child's ID card or card number.
- Your rights (including under the DPDP Act, for users in India): For the information a guardian has sent us (feedback and email inquiries), you may — (a) access a summary of what we hold and whom it was shared with; (b) ask for correction of anything inaccurate; (c) ask for erasure of what we hold, and we will delete it unless the law requires us to keep it; (d) withdraw consent at any time, as easily as it was given — if you withdraw, we stop processing and delete the information, and learning on the device is not affected; and (e) raise a grievance with us first (Section 9), and if it is not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India. We respond to requests without undue delay.
- Device records, system backups, and Google Play transaction records cannot be deleted by the developer; they are managed in the device settings and the Google account.
8. External Links
- Buttons to the homepage (rnrplay.com), email, and this Policy are located only in the parent section (after guardian verification). There are no external links on children's screens. The App contains no social media links.
- The parent section locks again when the App goes to the background or is not touched for 5 minutes.
9. Operator and Contact
- Operator: BORA STORE (Representative: Jungmin Lim)
- Privacy Officer: Jungmin Lim · hello@rnrplay.com
- Grievance Officer for India: Jungmin Lim (BORA STORE, hello@rnrplay.com) — for any DPDP Act request or complaint (access, correction, erasure, consent withdrawal, grievances). We aim to respond within 30 days.
- Homepage: rnrplay.com
10. For Users in India — Breach Notification and Notice Language
- Personal data breach: If a breach of the information a guardian sent us (feedback or email inquiries) occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and each affected guardian without delay, as required by DPDP Act Section 8(6). Device-only records are not held by us, so this covers only information we actually received.
- Notice language: This Policy is provided in English and Hindi for users in India, in plain and clear language, alongside the Korean original.
- Consent: Because the App itself does not collect personal information, no separate consent is needed for using the App. Feedback and inquiries are sent only when a guardian chooses to send them, and consent for that processing may be withdrawn at any time as described in Section 7.
11. Effective Date
- Effective from the official release date (planned late October 2026)
- Previous version: effective October 9, 2026
